Important Notice to Members and other Mi’kmaw Communities within Cape Breton

Nancy Swan has claimed both by email and publicly that she is no longer a member of the Bras d’or First Nation Community. As a result Nancy was removed from our membership a year ago. Unfortunately Ms. Swan continues to represent herself as if she is a part of our Community.

Today, the Band is stating publicly that Nancy Swan is not a member of the Bras d’or First Nation Community and that she has not been for more than a year.

Any claims, representations, interviews or any other statements made by Nancy Swan DO NOT represent the Bras d’or First Nation Community or the Band Council.
